Our inclusive digital hub is more than simply offering a safe and secure environment for people to access the internet; it also acts as a catalyst for fostering community ties that can lead to meaningful relationships both online and in person. To support this, we have launched an engaging learning module inspired by the basics of journalism, enabling members to share details of community events, personal stories, articles, and features, while also advancing their digital abilities. This approach is fundamental to empowering individuals, as the skills gained help build a sense of ownership within the community and encourage others to become digitally connected. https://www.parkviewprojectne.com/learning-opportunities

A recent event where a 94 year old lady was unable to verify herself with Companies House because she had no suitable digital ID; no alternatives were appropriate she, therefore, resigned. This is not acceptable! We have approached Government for a response........

“For some people IT and IT equipment is liberating – for others, it is overwhelming. The increased use of it can prove discriminatory when ordinary people don’t have access to hardware and software that enables them to participate equally. The everyday need to scan codes or visit portals is a massive barrier to many. This support helps NTDF engage our demographic with 21st-century digital life, reducing exclusion and increasing confidence.”
