Park View Project – Digital Inclusion North Tyneside

 “Getting people ‘online’ to achieve ‘offline’ Community Involvement”.

(We support informal learning, volunteer opportunities and access to social circles of support via our web-based platforms)

 

Fancy yourself as an Online Chum? if so, why not come and join us and we’ll train you to mentor others who have digital challenges and difficulties using mobile products.  You don’t need to be a ‘wiz-kid’, common sense and a desire to help others is all we expect.

Support individuals to access our informal learning programme called Community Reporters

  • Help vulnerable individuals carry out assignments such as creating articles, features or stories about their community.

  • Assist the individuals to maximize their use of a variety of mobile products (Smart phones, iPad's, Laptop's).

  • Support those with different ‘abilities’ to get online and potentially, offline community-based activities via our Fireside Group & Weevlm.art.blog blog platforms.

  • Help those who have been the target of cyber-crime and cyber bullying to regain control and use the internet in a safe and secure way and provide guidance in making safe social connections.

  • Support ex-services personnel gain the confidence in using e-communication and secure access to work, training, or Further Education via online searches.

  • Support Park View project in range of community events & activities.

  • Create your own personal portfolio of experience.

  • Support individuals to complete their interactive learning “Community Reporters” program.

  • Research funding opportunities

  • Help to research Assistive Devices for our IT suite.

  • Website content management

  • Maintaining our directories.

  • Contribution to our newsletters.

 

You don’t have to have experience to get involved, help is always at hand.
