Park View Project – Digital Inclusion North Tyneside

 “Getting people ‘online’ to achieve ‘offline’ Community Involvement”.

(We support informal learning, volunteer opportunities and promote social circles of support using our web-based platforms)

 

Our volunteer Online Chum Mentors  are DBS checked and have been inducted into the values of our organisation and respect all those they mentor regardless of age or ability.  

Mentors help vulnerable individuals carry out assignments such as creating articles, features or stories about their community and a assist people to maximize their use of a variety of mobile products (Smart phones, iPads, Laptops) with safety and security in mind. 

Support those with different ‘abilities’ to get online and potentially, offline community-based activities via our Fireside Group & weevlm.art.blog platforms in a safe and secure way.

Help those who have been the target of cyber-crime, cyber bullying, etc., to regain control and use the internet in a safe and secure way and provide guidance in making safe social connections.

Support individuals to complete their interactive learning “Community Reporters” program.

Learn about different types of phishing 

Dealing with trolls

Opportunity to put into practice safety and security measures with Active Learning using "Learn My Way" security module. 

Help with identifying anti virus software

Privacy and managing your personal information. 

Safe browsing.
